Pre-Guide Check

Before you do anything, we should note that you need to have a miHoYo account set up. You can do this on the PC version of the game very easily, and it should prompt you to do so when you first play it. The account will be linked to your email address. Linking With Your Google Play Account

While we recommend that you link your Genshin Impact PC game to Android using a miHoYo account, you can do it with a Google Play Account. The process is slightly more complex, though.

Before you Start

It’s important to know that you cannot use a Google Play account to login to a miHoYo account at the time of writing. Many players have tried this, and it’s an issue that is currently with the developers.

To link the two, you need to create a brand new miHoYo account that has never been used before. If you try to link a Google Play account to a miHoYo account that you’ve already been using, you will get a warning saying that the account has already been registered. There’s currently no known way around this.

The best way to link your Genshin Impact saves using a Google Play account is to start on your Android device. Create a miHoYo account as usual when you start the game but wait until you can open the menu and access settings before you do anything else.

Linking Genshin Impact on PC to Android using a Google Play account from a PC:

You need to create a miHoYo account on the developer’s website. Now you need to open Genshin Impact from the Google Play Store, where your Google Play account is registered. Once you can pause, you need to link your miHoYo account to the game. Since you’ve opened it in the Google Play Store, it will already have your Google Play account in the system.

Once you have done either of these, you will be able to login to Genshin Impact using your Google Play account. It won’t matter what device you’re on. You will be able to use your Google Play account on both.
