Wired vs Wireless

If you want to buy a new headset, the question is of course what is better, wired or wireless. The answer to this question is actually very complex. There are problems with both that can adjust the user experience. Wireless headsets often have to be charged or the batteries have to be replaced because a battery cannot last forever and there are no solar-powered headsets yet. Wireless headsets can then be taken everywhere again instead of 2 to 3 meters with a wired headset, depending on how long the wire of a wired headset is. The problem with a wired headset is that you can not take them everywhere because of the wire, they don't fit in every device, while this is possible with Bluetooth headsets, because almost every device supports Bluetooth.

Best Mobile Gaming Headsets

Wired Headsets

These are the best-wired gaming headset for smartphones in 2020!

Beyerdynamic Custom Game (€179)

This headset is a bit on the expensive side, but that's totally worth it. These headphones are extremely comfortable and have amazing audio quality. However, there's a large downside, these headphones contain no surround sound, this means, unfortunately, you can't listen around you and this makes recognizing the location of shots for example, more difficult.

PRICE: 4/10

Turtle Beach Elite Pro Tournament (€110-199)

Again, unfortunately, fairly expensive headphones, but just like the headphones from Beyerdynamic, these are also comfortable and they have amazing sound quality, it has good bass and these do have surround sound.

PRICE: 5/10

These are by far the best wireless headphones for gaming on phones.

Lindy BNX-60 (~€115)

The Lindy BNX-60 headphones work via Bluetooth and have 15 hours of battery life. It works well, and does not cost a lot, it has very good bass and charges quickly by making use of Micro-USB.

As you can see from the picture, this headset has had a lot of recognition and rewards in the industry. Making them one of the best wireless gaming headsets on market today.

PRICE: 7/10

Sony WH-1000XM3 (€350)

I personally have no idea who came up with the idea of calling these headphones, but it is the most expensive but also the best mobile gaming ''headset'' in our list. These headphones have a stunning 30 HOURS of battery life, the latest USB-C charging technology, Bluetooth, Touch control and they have many features such as their own mobile app to take control. If you have the money for it, this is the way to go!

COMFORT: 10/10

PRICE: 3/10

Razer Nari Wireless (€100-150)

This headset is for a really obvious reason last in our list, surround sound is only accessible on PC and unlike the Nari Ultimate it has no haptic vibrator. It is very expensive for what you get (no touch controls or app). The battery has 24 hours of lifetime and has a microphone built-in like most in this list. Do you want to stand out with actually not a very special headset, then this is for you. Sound quality is good, though. It has 3-star reviews on Amazon.

PRICE: 5/10

Fantech MH81 (~€30)

This brand new model from Fantech is extremely good for the price. It has good bass, is very loud, has surround sound, a microphone, a 3.5mm jack but is not wireless. Because this model comes from AliExpress, shipping can take a long time, but this is 110% worth it. Making it the best one of the budget mobile gaming headsets.

PRICE: 10/10

Razer Electra V2 (€60)

Just like the earlier headphone from Razer, it has no surround sound on mobile and the RGB lightning does not work on mobile. Razer still has to work on the mobile industry. There is good bass and the comfort is greatly improved looking at the V1. The headset is so light that you hardly realize that you are wearing it.

PRICE: 9/10
