Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Comb Location | How to Find it ✅

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the perfect example of a modern-day RPG that is packed with tiny quests that make an impact on the player. Much like Ubisoft’s other new release, Watch Dogs: Legion. Some task you with all sorts of elaborate sneaking and killing. There is one; however, that simply asks you to find a comb. That might sound easy, but trust me, it isn’t. To help you along, I’ve outlined exactly where to find the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Comb location below.

The comb for Bil can be found in Rygjafylke, in the Adrift Refuge. Once you’ve spoken to Bil, you need to dive into the nearby lake. Use Odin Sight to scan for the comb. It’s at the bottom. When you have the comb, speak to Bil to complete the quest.

The Comb of Champions

The Comb of Champions is a world event in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. You may be surprised to know that combs were a large part of Viking culture. It takes place in Norway, right at the beginning of the game. This means that you can find and complete the quest very early on. It’s worth doing that early because it means you’ll have less to come back and complete for 100% once you’ve finished the main game.

As I mentioned above, you need to head to Rygjafylke in Norway. You may have already scouted the area and synchronized it here. If you have, you can fast travel to that synchronization point. If not, you’ll need to ride your mount all the way there or hike it on foot.

Once you’re in the region, you need to get to Adrift Refuge. This is a larger area in itself, but there’s a specific point that you’ll need to be navigating to. It’s south of Hildesvini’s Crag. You’ll notice two lakes near to each other, one above the other. This is where you need to go. The lake you’ll be diving into is the bottom one of the pair.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Comb Clue

While I’ll explain exactly what you need to do in this guide, the game does offer you a clue as to where the Assassin’s Creed Comb you’re looking for is. Once you’ve arrived at Adrift Refuge, you’ll notice a woman sitting on a rug. This is Bil. When you speak to her, she’ll tell you about how she’s lost her precious comb. She adds that she’s offering an evening of company to the one person who finds it.

The clue you can find is on the table nearby to Bil. It reads, “Find me by the rushing waters, and be my fish in shining armor.” It might seem like an obvious clue but points you in the right direction, at least. While you could look for a point in the lake where the water rushes faster than anywhere else, it’s easier to get in and swim.

The water is ice cold, and will damage Eivor if you’re in it for too long. Swim out as fast as you can, dive down deep, and trigger Odin Sight. This will light up all items of interest as blue orbs. You should see one for the comb. Swim to it and pick it up. Once you have it, get out of the after before you freeze to death.

Assassin’s Creed Comb Choices

Now that you’ve found the comb, you need to take it to Bil. She will then give you two choices. Neither one has massive implications on the story, but they will have a contextual implication on your character. Bil will offer to comb Eivor’s hair, but she will also offer to do much more than that. The choices you’re then given are as follows.

The first choice is, “I would enjoy your touch.” If you pick this option, Eivor and Bil will spend a night together. Don’t count on seeing any of that though. The screen fades to black, and the game picks up after Eivor and Bil have awoken afterward.

Your second choice is, “Thank you, but no.” Picking this choice does nothing. Bil and Eivor won’t spend a night together, and the screen won’t fade to black. Instead, you’ll keep exploring and playing as if you’ve just stood up from the conversation.

Regardless of the choice you make, Bil will give Eivor the Elk-Antler Comb. It’s more of a keepsake than anything else. However, both choices also complete this world event, which is necessary for 100% completion.

Conclusion

This quest is definitely one of the strangest ones I’ve seen in the series. It does show that it’s always worth exploring the world though. You would never come across this quest organically. Take that to heart, and explore every nook and cranny of the game from this point forward.
